Mauve, turquoise and gray were pervasive in the early ‘80s, while Southwest, Sante Fe desert tones (also influenced by Georgia O’Keefe’s work) and Miami Vice with a slightly more vibrant pastel spin inspired by deco architecture brought the Sunbelt and sunset colors in the mid- and late-80s.
