  • The LEGO Ninjago Movie is directed by Charlie Bean (Tron: Uprising, Robotboy) and written by Ninjago: Mastes of Spinjitsu scribes Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman.     "It's so on," Master Wu says at the beginning of the video obtained by . In the newly-released clip, the Lego hero looks formidable, but he's not strong enough to defeat a chicken. After the temple is destroyed, the kungfu champion is no match to the pesky chicken.

    "The Lego Ninjago Movie" follows six young ninjas who are tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they're gifted warriors, using their skills and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they're ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy, high school.

    The voice cast of the upcoming spin-off to the hugely-popular "" also includes as Lloyd, as Kai, as Nya, Kumail Nanjiani as Jay, Zach Woods as Zane, as Cole, as Garmadon and as Koko.

    Directed by Charlie Bean from a screenplay provided by Dan and Kevin Hageman, it is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on September 22, 2017.
