G.I. Joe might parachute in. Barbie may show up without Ken. Batman and Spiderman could provide security. Regardless of the guest list, it will be a blast from the past when toy-expert Joel Magee and his FX Toy-Buying Roadshow begins paying cash for vintage and antique memorabilia Nov. 15-18 at the Courtyard Marriott in Riverside.
And the experts from the FX Vintage Toy Roadshow are in Louisville to tell you what those toys are worth. Mark Leinberger is the General Manager of the Toy Roadshow. He explains that just checking labels for dates or where toys are manufactured can help eliminate reproductions and other toys that are worth less.
As the founder of FX Toys, Magee will offer on-the-spot cash payments for popular toys from the 20th century and earlier this weekend for the hundreds of people who are expected to bring their childhood friends and hobbies to the Toy-Buying Roadshow.
The annual FX International Show started out many years ago as just the FX Toy Show. When I first started going, it was held at the Orange County Convention Center and was a large event with a few celebrities. As the years went on, the show dwindled in size, had less celebrities and moved to different locations around town. Well it’s back at the Convention Center and bigger than ever this year.
